Fork Lift Operator

Location: 2300 Pioneer Dr, Plymouth IN 46563, United States 
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour 
Shift: 1st shift (6:00a-2:30p);Flexible scheduling required

ASAP (5/26)

Schedule & Shift Details

  • Weekly schedule: 40 hours + possible overtime, typically 6 days

  • Initial flexibility for all shifts during training, then assigned to specific shift

  • Shift hours:

    • 1st shift: 6:00a-2:30p

    • 2nd shift: 2:00p-10:30p (currently not operating)

    • Periodic split shifts: 7a-3:30p, 8a-4:30p, 10a-6:30p

  • Hands-on demonstration required

  • Must clear background and drug test prior to start

  • Must provide own safety toe shoes/boots meeting ASTM F2412-05, F2413-05 or equivalent

  • Appropriate attire: long pants (jeans preferred, no leggings/sweatpants), shirt with sleeves covering shoulders (no loose clothing)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safe, professional, accident-free forklift operation

  • Complete and track forklift inspections

  • Systematic maintenance and cleaning of forklift and warehouse

  • Material handling: tracking goods using WM System for accuracy

  • Load and unload transport vehicles during seed delivery and return seasons

  • Perform manual jobs per supervisor/team lead direction (sampling, inventory, cleaning)

  • Maintain strict safety standards and follow emergency procedures

Physical Task Requirements

  • Stand/sit for extended periods; operate forklifts

  • Repetitive motion and lifting (minimum 60 lbs.)

  • Exposure to warm and cold weather

Applicable Skills/Experience

  • Clear, respectful communication

  • Self-starter, highly safety and quality focused

  • Mechanical aptitude/awareness helpful

  • Experience with shift work preferred

  • Teamwork and goal orientation

  • Forklift and warehouse experience highly preferred

  • Prior forklift certification preferred

  • Accurate inventory counting

  • Read scales, multitask, detail-oriented

  • Alert, aware driving

  • Able to work in confined spaces

Qualifications & Basic Requirements

  • 1 year forklift and warehouse experience preferred

  • Prior forklift certification preferred

  • Pass all pre-employment screenings

  • Reliable transportation

  • Enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty and respectful behavior

Equipment/Attire Provided

  • Hi-Visibility hard hat, general purpose gloves, hi-visibility safety vest, safety eyewear
