What You’ll Do:
- Program, teach, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic GMAW welding systems, including Yaskawa/Motoman robotic welding cells.
- Develop, modify, and fine-tune robot programs to improve weld quality, cycle times, and overall production efficiency.
- Set up new welding jobs, fixtures, tooling, and robotic equipment for production runs.
- Perform robotic weld validations, process adjustments, and root-cause analysis to resolve welding and automation issues.
- Support overall shift production by performing tack welding, manual GMAW welding, hand welding, rework, and related fabrication tasks as needed to meet quality, delivery, and production goals while supporting fixture preparation and workflow efficiency.
- Inspect welds and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and welding requirements.
- Perform preventative maintenance and support troubleshooting of robotic welding, automation, and peripheral equipment.
- Partner with engineering, quality, and production teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and support new product launches.
- Maintain accurate production, quality, and process documentation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years of GMAW welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 1 year of hands-on robotic welding programming experience.
- Experience with Yaskawa/Motoman robot programming is strongly preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot robotic weld processes, optimize weld parameters, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Experience with weld fixtures, tooling, blueprints, and quality inspection processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
