Kelly is seeking a FP&A Automation Lead to work with our client, a leader in the biotech industry, on a long-term temporary basis (12+ months) at their Sunnyvale campus. This role will have a big impact on the finance team by building scalable automations that reduce manual work and improve speed, accuracy, and transparency in reporting.

The FP&A Automation Lead will:

  • Build and maintain automated reporting and planning workflows (e.g., Excel Power Query/Pivot, macros, Power BI, and/or other automation tools) to streamline recurring processes and reduce manual effort

  • Independently execute financial planning, forecasting, and analysis across P&L and balance sheet

  • Leverage advanced Excel, Smartsheet, and Power BI to create insightful reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders

  • Partner closely with business leaders to reshape how financial data drives decision?making

  • Provide proactive financial guidance that directly impacts strategy, business performance, and transformation initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in FP&A or related finance roles, with demonstrated ability to operate independently in complex environments

  • Strong FP&A experience with a deep understanding of P&L and balance sheet dynamics

  • Expert proficiency in Excel, Smartsheet, and Power BI, including advanced data modeling and automation capabilities

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing process improvements and automations that reduce manual work and enable faster, deeper insights

  • Proven ability to influence decisions and drive change through financial insight, even without formal authority

  • Prior experience in a Big Four or similarly demanding environment is considered a plus
