What’s a typical day as Accounting Specialist? You’ll be:
- Supporting the FieldTack group, primarily in the transportation technology area
- Generating and analyzing reports, including consumer mileage and fuel usage variances
- Reviewing odometer variance reports, identifying discrepancies, and making necessary data corrections (such as state abbreviations and fuel/mileage data)
- Performing extensive data edits, particularly during busy periods and quarterly closes
- Running, reviewing, and analyzing regular and ad hoc reports, documenting required data changes (including “O25” edits)
- Receiving, organizing, and preparing paper trip sheets for storage, which may require lifting boxes up to 25 lbs
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a high school diploma or GED (Associate’s degree in accounting or a related financial discipline preferred)
- Possess 5–7 years of financial and/or accounting experience, particularly with large data sets
- Are proficient in advanced Excel functions and comfortable with Outlook, Adobe, and Snipping Tool
- Are detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to thrive during high-volume periods and deadlines
- Can commit to in-office work at least 2 days per week and full weeks during quarterly close periods
Contract Position: This is a contract role scheduled to run through April 20, 2027.
