Kelly is hiring!
We’re looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our client’s team as Finance Business Partner in Thorold, ON!
In this full-time, temporary to permanent role, you’ll help our client with their Finance and Accounting needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare monthly financial reports with detailed variance analysis
- Maintain forecast models tracking actual vs. budget by program
- Validate financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Develop detailed annual budgets including staffing models and program allocations
- Work with program teams to validate budgets and service levels
- Prepare quarterly and annual funder reports aligned with general ledger
- Track funding agreements and ensure compliance with restrictions
- Prepare audit schedules including deferred revenue, accruals, and allocations
- Support audit processes with accurate and timely documentation
- Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models
- Identify variances and data inconsistencies and resolve issues
- Ensure consistency across multiple entities and programs
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in financial reporting or analysis in the non-profit sector
- Experience supporting audits and preparing schedules
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (Sage/ACCPAC preferred)
What would be a bonus:
- Experience with fund accounting or multi-program environments
- Experience with payroll systems (PowerPay, Dayforce)
- Experience in a unionized environment
Pay Rate:
- $25.00 – $28.00/hour + vacation pay
