Monday-Friday (8am-5pm)
Pay Rate: $160-170K

 

What’s a typical day as OpEX Manager? You’ll be:

  • Developing and deploying the site’s Operational Excellence strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.

  • Leading Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and TPM initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

  • Facilitating value stream mapping, waste reduction projects, and standardizing best practices.

  • Implementing structured problem-solving methodologies (DMAIC, A3, 5-Why, Fishbone).

  • Establishing and monitoring key site performance indicators (OEE, Right First Time, deviation rates, etc.).

  • Driving root cause analysis, leading tiered performance management systems, and developing visual management dashboards.

  • Ensuring all improvement initiatives comply with FDA/EMA regulations and cGMP standards.

  • Leading cross-functional improvement projects, developing business cases, and managing change initiatives.

  • Training and coaching employees and managers in Lean tools and structured decision-making.

  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance.

  • Improving batch cycle time, throughput, and supporting technology transfer and process robustness.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Operations Management, or a related field (required).

  • Bring 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing (required).

  • Have at least 3 years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Possess strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Hold a Black Belt or equivalent certification in Lean Six Sigma.

  • Demonstrate expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma DMAIC, and structured problem-solving.

  • Are proficient in data analysis, KPI development, and visual management tools (e.g., OEE).

  • Have proven project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.

  • Excel at coaching, training, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
