$17.50/hr 2nd shift Monday-Friday 3:05pm-11:05pm
$18/hr 3rd shift Sunday-Thursday 11:05pm-7:05am

Requires wearing steel toe shoes or boots.

Must be able to train on 1st shift for 1 week Monday-Friday 7:05am-3:05pm.

General Overview:
The Production Operator oversees the extrusion process for plastic products, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production efficiency. This role requires strict compliance with safety procedures and continuous improvement practices.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate production equipment efficiently, monitoring material use and managing changeovers

  • Conduct dimensional and visual inspections as part of quality management

  • Record production data and measurements using the PDQCR system

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and provide feedback

  • Prepare finished goods for shipment according to specifications

  • Identify, label, and retain non-conforming materials/products

  • Cross-train and receive training in production processes

  • Adhere to safety rules and use proper PPE

  • Perform basic predictive and preventive maintenance on equipment

Additional Duties:

  • Proactively seek tasks that add value during downtime

  • Maintain regular communication with supervisors and support staff

  • Participate in Kaizen, corrective action, and 5S events

  • Support the ongoing improvement of the quality system and products

Skills & Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet standards

  • Familiarity with quality tools and systems

  • Capable of basic computer data entry and system navigation

  • Troubleshooting abilities with suggestions for improvement

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Manufacturing experience

Work Environment:

  • Frequently stands, sits, walks, bends, and crouches

  • Requires repetitive motion and lifting up to 40 lbs

  • Must perform close visual inspections and read measurements

  • No unusual travel or environmental exposure
