CNC Lathe Set-up Machinist | Direct Hire | $25-35/hr. based on skills and experience | Hatboro, PA 

If you’re looking for a permanent CNC Machinist role, look no further! Kelly, in partnership with a manufacturing organization, is looking for CNC Lathe Set-up Machinist in Hatboro, PA!  Our client is growing and adding skilled CNC Machinists to their team!

This is a direct hire CNC Lathe Set-up Machinist position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Position Information:
•    Set up and operate CNC lathes and turning centers to manufacture high-precision components according to engineering specifications.
•    Interpret technical drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), setup sheets, and related process documentation to ensure accurate production.
•    Load and configure machine programs, select appropriate tooling and work holding, and set tool length and wear offsets for each setup.
•    Inspect first-article and in-process parts, verifying compliance with tight tolerance and surface finish requirements using precision measuring instruments.
•    Diagnose and resolve dimensional, tooling, and machine issues independently to maintain product quality and minimize downtime.
•    Document production and quality data accurately, and maintain organized, compliant workspaces following all safety and quality procedures within an ISO-certified environment.

Required Experience:
•    Minimum of three years’ hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Haas, DMG Mori, Mori Seiki preferred.
•    Proven ability to interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and process documentation with high accuracy.
•    Familiarity with inspecting precision components using tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators.
•    Strong understanding of machine programming fundamentals, tool selection, and optimal work holding techniques.
