Kelly Services is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Business Data Analyst to support supply chain operations for a growing manufacturing organization in Waukegan, IL. This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven professional who thrives on transforming complex information into actionable business insights that improve forecasting, inventory management, operational efficiency, and supply chain performance.
This role will partner closely with Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, and Commercial teams to support Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) initiatives, reporting strategies, and continuous improvement efforts.

What You’ll Do
As a Business Data Analyst, you will play a key role in helping leadership make informed operational and strategic decisions through advanced reporting, forecasting analysis, and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics related to forecast accuracy, inventory health, production efficiency, and supplier performance

  • Support Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) reporting and forecasting activities

  • Analyze historical data, operational trends, inventory levels, and planning performance to identify risks and improvement opportunities

  • Partner with Planning, Operations, Purchasing, and Commercial teams to align forecasting with operational capabilities

  • Monitor and improve ERP data integrity including BOMs, routings, and master data accuracy

  • Create and enhance reporting tools, databases, and data models to support proactive decision-making

  • Support scenario planning, forecasting cycles, and supply chain optimization initiatives

  • Track KPIs and operational metrics to measure business performance and continuous improvement efforts

  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve operational efficiency, inventory optimization, and forecasting reliability

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic supply chain initiatives and process improvements

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing operations, business analytics, or forecasting analysis

  • 2+ years of direct SIOP planning support experience

  • Strong experience with forecasting, inventory analysis, operational reporting, and supply chain analytics

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Power Query, and advanced formulas

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Microsoft Navision or similar platforms

  • Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization experience preferred

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate reporting in a fast-paced environment
