Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Quality Color Lab Technician position at a chemical manufacturing company in Wood Dale IL. The overall responsibility of the position is to perform various analyses to verify conformance of formulations, raw materials, in process components, and finished products to meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate products manufactured in the plant for conformance to established standards

  • Matching colors from customer samples to their specifications and providing corrective formulas as necessary

  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment

  • Maintain accurate records of technical information including inspection results and notes on adjustment activities

  • Support batch investigation of customer complaints

  • Follow work site rules for safety, waste, and chemical handling

  • Maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory and inspection areas

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry would be a plus

  • Minimum of three (3) years of printing ink and/or color matching experience

  • Ability to pass the Farnsworth Munsell color test

  • Good verbal, written, and computer skills including Word, Excel, etc.

  • Organized and detail oriented
