CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift
Kelly Services
Location: St. Louis, MO 63123
Pay: $28–$33/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Training on 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Kelly Services is hiring experienced CNC Machinists for a leading aerospace manufacturing company in St. Louis, MO. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established precision machining company.

We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented machinists who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have experience operating CNC lathes and mills.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or mills according to blueprint specifications

  • Select and align fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials

  • Perform machining operations to precise tolerances

  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring tools

  • Make machine adjustments and modify program speeds as needed

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

  • Meet production schedules and quality standards

  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and regulations

Qualifications

  • Experience with Mazak and Fanuc controls strongly preferred

  • Experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills

  • Strong understanding of machining tolerances, including the difference between 0.001” and 0.0001”

  • Ability to use precision measuring tools such as:

    • Calipers

    • Micrometers


  • Blueprint reading experience required

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing is a plus

  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) preferred

  • Technical aptitude and basic math skills required

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Apprenticeship, technical training, or journeyman-level experience is a plus

Additional Information

  • Candidates must be able to work 2nd shift

  • Training on 1st shift is preferred; however, strong candidates unable to train on 1st shift are still encouraged to apply
