Kelly is hiring an Associate EH&S Technician for a 12 – month Contract role with one of our prestigious clients based out in Freeport, TX 77541.

Job Title: Associate EH&S Technician
Location: Freeport, TX 77541– Onsite role Mon to Fri.
Employment Type: 12-month long term contract
Pay rate: $30 – $33/hr. on W2

Job description:

  • Shares responsibility for the implementation of the EH&S management system, in order to meet business objectives and to maintain the license to operate. Provides hands-on environmental, industrial hygiene (IH), and health and safety (H&S) activities for a specific plant.

  • Requires established basic EH&S skills to perform a range of routine work activities using existing standard EH&S procedures and or analytical scientific methods.
     

Responsibilities Duties

  • Implements detailed, task level, day to day waste management programs, work processes, standards and procedures.

  • Responsible for environmental compliance inspections of satellite and < 90 day waste areas.

  • Generate new waste profiles and manifest offsite waste shipments.

  • Ensures that the Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety aspects of operating discipline are adequate and applied to achieve EH&S performance goals. In most cases, would perform the role of section owner for the EH&S sections of operating discipline.

  • Acts as the Plant resource for related EH&S information on procedures, guidelines and standards.

  • Serves as plant contact for Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety issues.

  • Coaches teams and individuals on EH&S related tasks and activities.

  • Assists in developing and achieving area or plant EH&S goals.

  • Ensures compliance tasks are completed.

  • Performs coordinates certain Environmental, and IH monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting for the Plant.

Experience
Completion of Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate’s Degree) in related field plus EH&S, manufacturing or other related experience preferred. In lieu of degree, equivalent years of experience required.
