Kelly, in partnership with a brand new manufacturing company, is looking for a Wastewater Specialist in Halls, TN!
This is a direct hire position meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit, vacation, and compensation upon hire!

- Pay: $60,000 – $85,000
Job Description:
Responsible for the operation, monitoring, sampling, and treatment of wastewater systems to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Maintains accurate records, performs laboratory analyses, troubleshoots operational issues, and coordinates with regulatory agencies. Emphasizes adherence to OSHA safety standards and EPA environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment systems and equipment.
- Perform routine and regulatory sampling and laboratory analysis for compliance.
- Document operational data, maintenance activities, and incidents.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process issues.
- Optimize treatment processes and chemical dosing.
- Maintain and calibrate instrumentation.
- Manage chemical and waste handling according to safety and environmental guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, including NPDES permits.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports.
- Assist with inspections, audits, and implementing corrective actions.
- Communicate with regulatory agencies and coordinate with internal teams.
- Report incidents and non-compliance to management and authorities as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Wastewater Technology, Chemistry, or related field—or equivalent experience.
- Valid wastewater operator certification (per state requirements).
- Knowledge of treatment processes, lab testing, and regulatory standards.
- Familiarity with OSHA and EPA requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and recordkeeping skills.
- Effective communication abilities.
