Maintenance Technician I 

Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84123
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm
Pay Range: $24–$27 per hour (DOE)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Summary:

Kelly Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our laboratory team on a temp-to-hire basis. The Maintenance Technician I will provide technical expertise in all aspects of laboratory equipment and ensure regulatory compliance and proper maintenance procedures. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining lab equipment, and collaborating closely with facility staff.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment

  • Operate and maintain the Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS)

  • Recommend new equipment for lab needs

  • Assist in facility maintenance functions

  • Maintain maintenance procedure files

  • Monitor in-house RO/DI water systems

  • Maintain in-house vacuum, air supply, and emergency power systems

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Follow all applicable regulatory requirements (GMP, GLP, ISO, etc.)

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures

  • Complete required training

Professionalism:

  • Attend work reliably and punctually

  • Follow policies and procedures

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Competencies:

  • High integrity, self-motivated, and able to work independently

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Team player with good customer service skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite

  • General knowledge of basic tools

Work Environment:

  • Professional office/laboratory setting

  • May work in temperatures above 95?F or below 32?F; may walk on slippery/uneven surfaces

  • Will climb ladders and work at elevated surfaces occasionally

  • Noise levels can be frequently loud

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly

  • Assist in moving heavy equipment
