Kelly, in partnership with a brand-new manufacturing company, is looking for a Extrusion Shift Leader in Halls, TN!
This is a direct hire position meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit, vacation, and compensation upon hire!

Position Summary:
The Extrusion Shift Leader is responsible for overseeing daily extrusion operations, leading production personnel, and ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of aluminum profiles used in solar panel frames and industrial applications. This role provides hands-on leadership on the production floor while supporting productivity, quality standards, equipment performance, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate extrusion department activities during assigned shift to meet production, quality, and safety goals
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot extrusion press equipment and supporting systems
- Oversee aluminum billet loading, die changes, startup procedures, and production changeovers
- Monitor press temperatures, pressure, cycle times, and machine performance to optimize production efficiency
- Ensure aluminum profiles meet dimensional and visual quality standards through inspections and process verification
- Support stretching, cooling, cutting, packaging, and material flow operations throughout the extrusion process
- Train, mentor, and support extrusion operators and production team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality expectations
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to minimize downtime and resolve operational issues
- Promote and enforce OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies
- Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and operational documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, scrap reduction, efficiency, and workplace organization
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the production environment
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of extrusion, manufacturing, or industrial production experience required
- Previous leadership, lead operator, or shift supervision experience preferred
- Strong understanding of aluminum extrusion processes and press operations
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills strongly preferred
- Ability to read production schedules, work instructions, and quality specifications
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership abilities
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
