Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cable and Wire Harness Assembler to join our team. This position requires technical proficiency, strong attention to quality, and the physical capability to work with a variety of electrical components. The assembler will follow detailed instructions, ensure product excellence at every stage, and help maintain a safe and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret wire diagrams, blueprints, and schematics for cable assembly.
- Assemble wires into cables and harness systems according to schematic drawings.
- Wrap and tie wires at designated points to form harnesses.
- Assemble electrical components, systems, and subsystems.
- Use both automatic and handheld wire strippers for preparing wire ends.
- Measure wires and finished cable assemblies to ensure quality standards.
- Solder parts or connections and apply protective coatings to ensure proper installation.
- Maintain a clean work area at the end of each day and week.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk regularly; bend, stoop, and reach as needed.
- Must pass a vision exam for close inspection work.
- Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and schematics.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools and performing basic math.
- Effective use of all tools required for wire harness assembly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
