Position: Assembler
Shift: Monday – Thursday 5 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: Bronson, MI
Job Summary:
The Assembly Associate is responsible for assembling manufactured parts and components according to customer specifications, engineering drawings, and work instructions in a fast-paced production environment. This role is primarily stationary and requires standing for the duration of the shift, with consistent, repetitive use of hands and tools.
The company is a U.S.-based leader in manufacturing welded wire panels and steel wire components. They supply high-quality wire mesh panels for safety enclosures and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble parts and components according to customer specifications, blueprints, and established work instructions.
- Perform repetitive assembly tasks at a designated workstation with a high level of consistency and attention to detail.
- Operate hand tools, fixtures, and basic assembly equipment as required by each job.
- Visually inspect assembled parts to ensure conformance to quality and customer standards.
- Verify correct parts, quantities, and configurations before and during assembly operations.
- Maintain accurate counts of assembled components and work-in-process items.
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Work efficiently to meet or exceed daily production and output goals.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, basic blueprints, or assembly specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to function as part of a team.
- Prior manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred but not required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the shift.
- Continuous standing is required throughout the workday.
- Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and arms to assemble products.
- Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling of components or assemblies (restricted to defined weight limits).
- Work conducted in a manufacturing environment with noise, machinery, and active production lines.
- Must possess the ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks over extended time periods.
