Job Title: Punch Press Die Setter
Location: Lake in the Hills, IL
Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 4:30pm
Pay: $25 – $30/hr (based on experience and qualifications)
Summary
We are seeking a skilled Punch Press Die Setter to join our client in Lake in the Hills, IL. In this role, you will set up and operate power presses to trim, punch, shape, notch, draw, or crimp metal and composite stock while ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Candidates must have experience as a Punch Press Die Setter.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Candidates must have experience as a Punch Press Die Setter.
- Assemble, install, and align dies in press according to specifications.
- Adjust ram stroke to specified length.
- Position workpieces against fixtures or stops on the machine bed or die.
- Start press and monitor operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
- Inspect workpieces for conformance to specifications, adjusting machine as needed.
- Clean and lubricate machines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form and solve problems involving several variables.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, and climb or balance.
Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally required to sit.
Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
