Position Overview
Are you looking to advance your career in manufacturing? Join our dynamic production team as a Machine Operator I! You’ll be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating advanced machining equipment, with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate a CNC Press Brake (Amada preferred), gantry-style vertical mill, and/or CNC punch press/laser systems according to production needs.
- Read, interpret, and work from 2D prints and 3D models, ensuring complete and accurate production.
- Communicate effectively with production leads to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections on production parts using basic measurement tools, ensuring all specifications and quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting a safe production environment.
- Collaborate with Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety teams to ensure full compliance with all standards, policies, and regulations.
- Proactively uphold and champion high standards of quality and safety within your work.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CNC machine programming and setup.
- Demonstrated proficiency with 2D blueprints, 3D models, and detailed work instructions.
- Familiarity with cutting tools, machining speeds and feeds, CAT40 tooling setup, and related processes.
- Skilled in the use of basic measurement instruments to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Strong verbal communication and team collaboration skills.
- Excellent time management, organization, and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, and reaching.
- Comfortable working in a non-climate controlled production environment for extended periods.
