Position: Production Mixer Operator (HiLo)

Industry: Manufacturing / Adhesives
Location: Walker, MI
Pay Rate: $23 / hour
Shift: Night Shift – 6 PM – 6:30 AM
Schedule: The 2-2-3 Rotation

  • Week 1: Work Tuesday & Wednesday; Off Thursday & Friday; Work Saturday, Sunday, & Monday.

  • Week 2: Off Tuesday & Wednesday; Work Thursday & Friday; Off Saturday, Sunday, & Monday.

  • Note: Candidates hired for the night shift will begin their training on 1st shift.

The Production Mixer Operator is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of mixing and production processes. This role covers the preparation and handling of raw materials and packaging, unloading supplies, product packing, and labeling, all while adhering to safety, legal, and company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare required materials and packaging: identify, measure, and transport resources to production zones, recording any irregularities and tracking the beginning and end of each task. Regular material handling and forklift operations.

  • Operate mixing and processing machinery as per established methods and directions.

  • Monitor equipment to ensure workflows proceed at appropriate speeds and standards.

  • Conduct initial product quality checks and release, confirming products meet specification criteria.

  • Verify labeling and packaging components, ensuring all products are labeled accurately according to company procedures.

  • Package finished items in line with established instructions and company quality expectations.

  • Maintain all activities in strict alignment with company and legal health, safety, environment, and quality regulations.

  • Keep assigned work areas clean and orderly.

  • Complete any additional responsibilities as instructed by supervisors or management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background.

  • Comfortable with standard computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.

  • Capable of reading and comprehending job instructions, production protocols, safety requirements, and quality standards.

  • Willing and able to work various shifts as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous hands-on experience with industrial mixing, handling batch instructions, and working directly with raw materials.

  • Employment experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
