Medical Device Repair Technician

Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay: $27 / hr

Kelly is hiring! We’re looking for hands-on technicians to join our client’s Infusion Pump Service team. If you thrive in a high-tech, fast-paced environment and love repairing electronics or mechanical devices, you might be the perfect fit.

About the Role

As a Medical Device Repair Technician, you will:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, refurbish, and upgrade sophisticated electro-mechanical medical devices.

  • Analyze device returns to determine and resolve root-cause issues.

  • Perform complaint investigations and document all service activities accurately using Oracle systems.

  • Support the training of new employees on essential service procedures.

  • Occasionally travel (<25%) to customer locations for onsite repairs.

  • Maintain compliance with cGMP and quality standards.

  • Work collaboratively with senior technicians, QA, and other teams to resolve process issues and deliver exceptional results.

  • Keep your work area clean and participate in special projects as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: High School diploma or GED required; technical Associate’s degree preferred.

  • Experience: 1–3 years in a high-tech manufacturing or service repair setting.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electronics/mechanical equipment down to the component level; skilled in soldering, using tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes, and reading schematics.

  • Hands-on Aptitude: Tinkering, electronics repair, or DIY hobby experience (e.g., fixing gaming consoles, computer hardware, veterinary medical devices) strongly valued.

  • Physical Requirements: Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to lift 30–40 lbs.

  • Behavioral Strengths: Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills. Detail-oriented, results-focused, and eager to learn.
