Job Title: Box Truck Driver
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Box Truck Driver to manage material transfers between buildings. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring all transfers are completed. This role demands a high level of efficiency while strictly adhering to workplace safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Ensure steady flow of material between facilities, meeting all service level agreements (SLAs)
- Complete pre-trip vehicle inspections before every transfer
- Ensure all vehicles are in proper operating order
- Move equipment between BR warehouses as needed
- Scan material being off-loaded at each facility
- Ensure all yard horses are fueled and in good working order
- Maintain vehicle maintenance schedules
- Work independently, self-managing with minimal supervision
- Operate jack and forklift to move equipment in/out of trailers
- Train new drivers during peak season as required
- Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
- Maintain regular communication with all facilities to coordinate logistics and ensure smooth operations
- Respond promptly to emails concerning pick-up and production requests, providing timely follow-ups
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5–7 years’ experience in a fulfillment operation or similar related environment
- knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Proficient in English; Spanish communication skills a plus
- Valid certified Forklift or Power Jack license
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Comfortable sitting for long periods of time
- Flexibility in work schedule (production volumes may require weekends and holidays)
Shift & Compensation
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Compensation: $20.00 hourly (USD)
