Production Operator – Finishing

Pay Rate: $21.85/hr
Shift: 3:15pm to 3:30am; Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday


Position Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for operating machinery used to manufacture products from raw materials into finished goods, ensuring all processes and outputs meet established company quality standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to maintain accurate records throughout the production process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Finishing Equipment: Set up, run, and monitor finishing equipment to manufacture products according to specifications.

  • Quality Control: Perform routine in-process tests (e.g., hardness, weight, pH, moisture content) to ensure products meet required specifications.

  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials and update data sheets for materials in process.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify equipment malfunctions or product deficiencies and take corrective actions to maintain optimal production levels.

  • Documentation: Complete and maintain logs of orders received, work completed, and inventory used during shifts.

  • Process Compliance: Follow blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics for all manufacturing operations.

  • Production Coordination: Collaborate with planning, production, and maintenance teams to prepare and monitor production schedules; requisition materials as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn company policies and procedures.

  • No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.

  • Ability to follow established procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Basic math and record-keeping skills.

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
