Logistics Specialist
Location: Anaheim, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $28–$30 per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Logistics Specialist to join our team in Anaheim. This role is responsible for supporting distribution, import/export operations, customer forwarders, and inventory management functions to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations. The Logistics Specialist will play a key role in order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, transportation coordination, and maintaining compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support documentation and communication requirements throughout the order-to-cash process.
- Perform inventory allocation activities to support order fulfillment and transportation performance.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, audits, and reporting.
- Analyze inventory data and report performance against established metrics.
- Establish, maintain, and audit filing systems to ensure compliance and organization.
- Support sample shipment processing and distribution activities.
- Follow all Supply Chain ISO procedures and applicable cross-functional processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal customers.
- Participate in and support special projects as assigned; occasional travel may be required.
- Train and monitor backup personnel to ensure operational continuity and stability.
- Learn and provide backup support for product allocation and order management functions.
- Process routine inventory transactions and shop orders.
- Learn SAP systems, processes, and procedures related to logistics functions.
- Complete required regulatory training, including DOT, IATA, and IMDG compliance.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, customer service, customs clearance, or related fields.
- Experience working with ERP systems is required.
- SAP experience is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Inventory management and inventory control experience.
- Import/export and transportation coordination knowledge.
- Experience working with freight carriers and forwarders.
- Familiarity with ISO procedures and compliance standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
