Job Title: Utility Worker
Location: Myerstown, PA
Shift: 2nd Shift 3pm – 11pm – Monday – Friday
Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; 6 month contract
Pay Rate: $20.00 an hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use basic hand tools, cleaning equipment (i.e., floor scrubbers, ultrasonic baths, bin washer, etc) and cleaning supplies.

  • Clean department’s machines and machine parts of all foreign material, which includes operation of bin washers.

  • Clear floors of skids, waste containers, Sweep, wax, scrub, wet mop floors. § Dust walls

  • Facility cleaning.

  • Ensure safe work environment by following all safety rules.

  • Operate fork truck (as needed) and/or other material handling equipment in order to move raw and WIP materials, skids, bins, etc. within production areas.

  • Stage product bins for shipment out of the building.

  • Inspect materials retrieved to ensure compliance.

  • Report all preventive maintenance  needed for department machines to Production Supervisor and complete required work as assigned.

  • Take trash to compactor, drive and coordinate recycling activities and dispose of hazardous waste.

  • Fill store requisitions and order/maintain supplies for department’s inventory.

  • May assist line team members in packaging and manufacturing, including hand packing, sorting, pack outs, etc.

Requirements:

  • Education -High School Diploma.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work safely in a production environment.

  • Must be able to demonstrate a mathematical aptitude.

  • Experience working in good manufacturing practices or standard operating procedures environment.

  • Good PC Skills, including use of e-mail.

  • Demonstrated ability to read/interpret/follow instructions in regard to workplace

  • Must be willing to work overtime as required, based on production demands.
