Job Title: Assistant Project Coordinator / Print Estimator 

Location:  San Francisco, CA 
Hourly Range: $24.00 – $27.00 (Negotiable, DOE)


Position Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Project Coordinator / Print Estimator to join a team at a busy San Francisco print production facility. In this customer-facing role, you will provide accurate project estimates, oversee print production schedules, and ensure high standards of quality and service in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of the printing industry, outstanding organizational skills, and a client-focused approach.


Key Responsibilities

  • Interface directly with customers to define project requirements, provide cost estimates, and offer scheduling solutions.

  • Accurately generate customer quotes based on material knowledge and project scope.

  • Monitor the status of print production and installation, proactively flagging issues that may impact timelines or budgets.

  • Apply knowledge of printing processes (offset, digital, pre-press, etc.) to recommend best practices and anticipate challenges.

  • Negotiate costs and manage materials to optimize job profitability.

  • Maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams throughout project lifecycle.

  • Ensure attention to detail and adherence to deadlines in a high-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Working knowledge of materials and solid understanding of the printing industry/printing processes.

  • Experience in large format color print production, graphics, signage, or related industry preferred.

  • Familiarity with cost of materials and negotiation practices.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

  • Proficient in estimating, order entry, and Microsoft Office.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat Professional, Illustrator, Photoshop).

  • Attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Must have valid Driver’s License and transprotation.
