Job Description: Material Handler

Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay Rate: $18 – $21 per hour
Shift: Start time varies (7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 10:00 AM) – All 8-hour shifts
Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking motivated and dependable Material Handlers to join our team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, storing, staging, and tracking materials to help maintain inventory accuracy and keep warehouse operations running smoothly.

We are especially looking for experienced Material Handlers with recent forklift, reach truck, cherry picker, or pallet jack experience.

This is an immediate hire opportunity for candidates who are reliable, safety-focused, and ready to work in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Must have a Valid Drivers License

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse, production floor, or storage areas

  • Stage raw materials for production and remove finished goods or scrap materials as needed

  • Accurately track and record material movement using inventory management systems or manual logs

  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment

  • Inspect goods for damage, report discrepancies, and communicate with relevant teams

  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas

  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required

  • Follow all safety and company protocols at all times

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a material handler, warehouse associate, or similar role preferred

  • Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to become certified

  • Basic math and computer skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods

  • Frequent lifting, carrying, and placing of materials (up to 50 lbs)

Work Environment

  • Warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting

  • Exposure to moving equipment and temperature changes

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required
