Job Title: Warehouse Operator I
Location: Clayton NC
Duration: 6 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19hr


Job Description

The Warehouse Operator I will support inventory control and warehousing needs in a high-performance team environment. This role includes handling materials, conducting inventory tasks, supporting production, and adhering to all safety and environmental standards.

Essential Functions

  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements while performing duties

  • Inventory control for newly received components/materials

  • Place materials in designated locations and replenish material requisitions staging areas

  • Physically transfer semi-finished and finished products within the warehouse

  • Pull product samples as requested

  • Conduct cycle counts and annual inventory counts

  • Perform inventory look-up and reorder plant supplies

  • Prepare and ship finished products

  • Load and unload trailers

  • Use warehouse systems (Prism, AS400, SAP) for material transfers and inventory adjustments

  • Perform daily inspections of forklifts, warehouse, cold rooms, and freezer

  • Maintain up-to-date training status

Physical Requirements

  • Move equipment and supplies weighing up to 33 pounds using various body positions

  • Routinely operate and inspect manufacturing equipment

  • Strap/unstrap pallets by hand

  • Remain stationary (sitting and standing) 50% of the time

  • Corrected vision to 20/25 required; color vision not required

  • Handle and transport hazardous materials

  • Occasionally work in extremely cold environments

  • Work in loud noise environments (with hearing protection)

  • Pass a driving examination for powered industrial trucks

  • Does not require a valid driver’s license
