Job Title: Sourcing Contract Manager

Location: Onsite in Alameda, CA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Compensation: $90–$96 per hour (based on experience)
Position Overview:
Kelly Services is seeking a skilled Sourcing Contract Manager to join our Pharmaceutical Operations and Supply Chain (PSC) Contracts team. Reporting to the lead for Contracts & Budgets & Outsourcing, you will play a key role in managing the drafting and execution of contracts supporting critical pharmaceutical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft Statements of Work (SoWs) and Change Orders (COs) for low-risk contracts using the Agiloft Legal Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system
- Advise, troubleshoot, and manage existing agreements under team guidance
- Attend cross-functional and supplier meetings to address contract terms and ensure timely execution
- Route, track, and facilitate the progress of contracts from submission to execution
- Create purchase requisitions to initiate work per executed contract scope
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for greater operational value
- Assist in budget forecasting, accrual activities, and financial audits during close periods
- Maintain GxP and financial audit inspection readiness as required
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in a related discipline and at least 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certification in assigned area may be required
Preferred Experience:
- 1–2 years of direct experience in life-sciences industries, especially in contract drafting and sourcing negotiations with contract manufacturers or clinical research labs
- Experience working with multi-functional teams
- Knowledge of clinical/commercial supply chain contract terms and conditions
- Experience negotiating and drafting complex agreements for contract manufacturing, supply chains, and biologics
- Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, Tableau, and supply chain management
- Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems (preferably Agiloft)
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong grasp of contract management processes (tracking, negotiation, approval, signatures)
- Familiarity with drug discovery and development processes and associated risks within pharmaceutical contracting is preferred
- Excellent vendor negotiation skills and ability to work across functional groups and management levels
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure
- Commitment to quality, reliability, and excellence
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility and openness to learning new processes and skills
