Project Manager – Inventory & Cycle Count Operations
Boulder, CO | 6-Month Contract
$60–$75/hour + Completion Bonus
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Onsite
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead inventory-focused initiatives, including cycle count programs, inventory accuracy projects, and operational improvements within a fast-paced warehouse and supply chain environment. This role will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, driving inventory control processes, monitoring project milestones, and ensuring inventory-related objectives are achieved on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead inventory-related projects from planning through execution and completion for 4 sites.
- Manage and oversee cycle count programs to improve inventory accuracy and reduce discrepancies.
- Coordinate physical inventory activities, inventory audits, and reconciliation efforts.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Track inventory performance metrics and provide regular status updates to leadership.
- Identify inventory variances, root causes, and corrective actions to improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with warehouse, operations, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure inventory accuracy and operational readiness.
- Facilitate project meetings, action item tracking, and stakeholder communication.
- Monitor project risks, inventory issues, and resource constraints; escalate concerns as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control, warehouse processes, and supply chain operations.
- Ensure accountability across project teams and maintain focus on project deliverables and inventory goals.
- Support inventory system optimization and process standardization efforts.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of Project Management, Program Management, or Operations Management experience.
- Travel to 4 site locations in the area
- Strong experience leading inventory, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain projects.
- Hands-on experience with cycle counting, physical inventories, inventory reconciliation, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices and warehouse operations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and project tracking tools.
- Experience working with ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems preferred.
- PMP certification is a plus.
