Location: Salem, VA 24153

We are seeking a customer-focused Order Management Specialist to support a fast-paced customer-facing environment. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, report building, meeting attendance, and coordinating with souring / logistics and warehouse team on accuracy of order fulfillment. Responsibilities include quoting orderable parts, order entry, managing client communications, attending customer meetings, building weekly reports, and resolving issues with professionalism and urgency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a focus on accuracy and client satisfaction are essential for success in this role.

 

Compensation & Benefits

· Starting Pay: $20 to $22 per hour (based on experience)

Work Schedule, Day Shift: M-F 8AM-5PM (Hybrid work)

 

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Order Entry & Order Acknowledgment

• Provide Open Orders Reports weekly to customers

• Attend meetings regarding orders for assigned customer base

• Update orders per amendments / internal requests

• Request Final Pricing from customer & report to Logistics

• Advise customers of changes (Promise dates, Schedule delays, quality issues, etc.)

• Order entry in SAP (POs, PO amendments, email communications)

• Case Management & tagging (Sales Force)

• Provide Quotes

· Flexible to other tasks as priorities shift

· Responsible for good documentation practices

Qualifications

• Customer communication skills and experience via written, in person and phone.

• Customer service background.

• High School Diploma.

• Critical thinking and ability to solve problems.

• Establish personal credibility.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel & including familiarity with Access).

• Interpersonal skills to allow interaction with internal and external departments, including, sourcing, engineering, and finance.

• SAP knowledge. (Preferred)
