Salary: $17.50 per hour

Location: Byhalia, MS

Shift: (you could be assigned to work either of these shifts depending on needs)

(2) Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
(1) Tuesday-Friday 7am-5:30pm

What’s a typical day as Forklift Operator? You’ll be:

  • Loading and unloading raw materials and finished goods in the warehouse

  • Driving a forklift (Cherry picker, Dock Stocker, Reach Truck, and Walkie Rider) to load trailers and pick products

  • Performing daily safety inspections on forklifts before use

  • Labeling boxes as required and assisting with manual picking and packing as needed

  • Palletizing and shrink-wrapping finished products

  • Scanning labels using RF scanning guns

  • Following all company safety and security rules

  • Reporting unusual conditions or problems to the Supervisor

  • Practicing good housekeeping and organization (5S)

  • Adhering to company dress code and rules of conduct

  • Acting as a courteous and professional team player

  • Performing other related duties as assigned by supervisor

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a High School Diploma or GED (required)

  • Possess at least 6 months of work experience operating a forklift (required)

  • Hold a valid Forklift Certification (required)

  • Have experience with RFID scanners (preferred)

  • Can communicate and converse effectively with others

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to match product and order numbers accurately

  • Understand and can carry out Standardized Work Instructions

  • Possess basic math skills: ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide by 10’s and 100’s

  • Use good judgment and ask for help when needed

  • Can regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (team lift required for items over 50 lbs.)

  • Are able to move about on the production floor for a minimum of 8 hours per shift

  • Can grasp, push, pull, and carry objects, and manipulate tools or controls

  • Are able to accurately detect and determine color and shapes

  • Up-to-date resume submission required

  • Client interview required

  • Steel-toed footwear
