Shipping & Receiving Associate

Location: Torrington, CT
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

We are looking for a dependable and motivated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team in Torrington, CT. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to become a permanent employee for the right candidate. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to learn new skills, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments.

  • Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.

  • Package and convert products according to company specifications.

  • Operate a pallet jack to move materials throughout the warehouse (experience is a plus).

  • Process shipments using carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and other transportation companies.

  • Learn to operate various cutting machines (training provided).

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

  • After direct hire, there may be opportunities to operate a small box truck for local deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to learn new equipment and warehouse processes.

  • Experience using a warehouse management system (WMS) is a plus, but not required—we will train the right candidate.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for potential delivery responsibilities after direct hire.
