Location: San Jose and San Francisco Bay Area 
Hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm – Working hours may slightly vary depending on operational needs. 
Pay rate:$90k to $100k 
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for both store and corporate hiring needs. This role is ideal for a hands-on recruiter who excels at proactive sourcing, talent identification, and building strong candidate pipelines in a high-volume environment.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist operates with a high degree of independence, making strategic decisions regarding sourcing methods, candidate evaluation, and recruitment strategies. Partnering closely with hiring managers, this position plays a critical role in attracting top talent, improving hiring outcomes, and ensuring a positive candidate experience while meeting key recruiting objectives.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong sourcing expertise, excellent relationship-building skills, and experience leveraging modern recruitment technologies, including AI-assisted talent acquisition tools.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for high-volume and difficult-to-fill positions.

  • Identify and utilize the most effective sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and community outreach.

  • Build and maintain talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.

  • Continuously evaluate sourcing effectiveness and adjust strategies to improve candidate quality and hiring outcomes.

Full-Cycle Recruitment

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer recommendations.

  • Evaluate candidate qualifications and provide recommendations based on business needs and position requirements.

  • Conduct candidate outreach, screening, and engagement activities.

  • Provide hiring managers with market insights related to candidate availability and competitiveness.

Recruitment Operations & Process Improvement

  • Manage job postings and recruitment advertising efforts.

  • Monitor sourcing channel performance and optimize recruiting investments.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance recruiting efficiency and effectiveness.

Recruiting Technology & AI Tools

  • Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), sourcing platforms, and AI-assisted recruiting tools to support recruiting objectives.

  • Leverage recruiting data and automation tools to improve sourcing strategies and hiring outcomes.

  • Evaluate recruiting technologies and recommend process enhancements.

  • Ensure compliant and appropriate use of AI-assisted recruiting technologies.

Recruitment Performance & Reporting

  • Drive achievement of recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, fulfillment rates, pipeline quality, and source effectiveness.

  • Analyze recruiting data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Provide regular updates and reporting on recruiting progress and outcomes.

Hiring Manager Partnership

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.

  • Advise stakeholders on labor market trends, candidate availability, and hiring expectations.

  • Support hiring decisions through candidate assessment and market expertise.

Candidate Experience

  • Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

  • Maintain consistent and timely communication with candidates and hiring teams.

  • Represent the employer brand professionally in all interactions.

Offer Management & Hiring Execution

  • Prepare and present candidate recommendations aligned with hiring requirements.

  • Support the offer process and facilitate timely hiring decisions.

  • Coordinate recruitment activities while maintaining accountability for hiring outcomes.

Compliance

  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with federal, California state, and local employment laws.

  • Maintain accurate records and recruiting data within the ATS.

  • Monitor recruiting metrics and ensure compliance with applicable hiring regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in California.

  • Strong experience sourcing candidates in high-volume environments such as retail, supermarkets, restaurants, manufacturing, warehousing, or similar industries.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently develop and execute sourcing strategies.

  • Experience evaluating candidates and influencing hiring decisions.

  • Strong knowledge of federal, California state, and local employment laws related to recruiting and hiring.

  • Experience using ATS platforms, sourcing tools, and AI-assisted recruiting technologies.

  • Excellent sourcing, networking, and candidate engagement skills.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR technology platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Chinese.

  • PHR-CA certification.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a combination of office and retail environments.

  • Occasional travel to locations, job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach activities may be required.

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.

  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 25 pounds.

  • Frequent communication with candidates, employees, and management in person, by phone, and electronically.
