Equipment Operator I – Automated Assembly
Location: Taylorsville, UT
Schedule:  (12 hrs) rotating shift|6:30AM-6:30PM
Pay Rate:$18hr
Position Summary:
The Equipment Operator I is responsible for safely and efficiently operating simple automated assembly machines in a clean room environment. This role includes monitoring machine operation, addressing faults, and performing light station alignments. The operator ensures medical devices are assembled to the highest quality standards through repetitive tasks and proper documentation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate machines, jigs, and fixtures to produce quality products at established rates

  • Start machines from a power-off state and perform work order setups in electronic systems

  • Read and interpret equipment gauges, dials, and procedures

  • Rectify machine faults and restart machines as required

  • Clean work area and equipment regularly

  • Inspect, weigh, count, package, and label finished products

  • Complete production records and documentation

  • Demonstrate flexibility by operating different simple machines (press/torque fitment, <10 stations)

  • Perform visual inspections (with or without magnification tools)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word) preferred

  • Ability to read and follow written procedures

  • Ability to learn and operate machinery quickly and easily

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods

  • Must be able to repetitively move and lift objects up to 20 lbs

  • Use solvents, glue, or solder as needed

  • Regularly required to talk or hear

Work Environment:

  • Clean room production area

  • Minimal travel (less than 5%)
