Job Title: Legal Invoice Review Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Fulfillment Center of Excellence (Remote/Onsite options as applicable)

Position Overview
As a Legal Invoice Review Quality Assurance Analyst (QA Analyst) within our Fulfillment Center of Excellence, you will play a critical role in assuring the accuracy and integrity of legal invoice audits performed by our team. You will utilize your specialized legal expertise to review, adjust, and communicate about legal fee and expense invoices submitted by law firms and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Expert Peer Review: Conduct comprehensive peer reviews of audited invoices processed by LBACOE invoice analysts, ensuring legal accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelines.
- Invoice Assessment: Make expert adjustments or corrections to line item entries as necessary, documenting thorough justifications for all changes.
- Appeals Support: Serve as a key member of the Appeals Team, engaging in detailed, written communications with law firm vendors concerning invoice line item adjustments.
- Legal Analysis: Extract core legal concepts, analyze invoice context, and assess line items against client guidelines to support appeals mediation efforts.
- Documentation: Create clear, comprehensive written summaries of appeals communications and expert analysis, for use by clients and at resolution conferences.
- Guidance & Collaboration: Provide expert insights and guidance to business unit partners regarding process improvements and policy compliance issues within the Legal Bill Analysis process.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement within LBA operations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal education required.
- 3+ years experience in legal invoice review, legal billing, or related legal practice strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise with legal terminology and processes in multiple practice areas.
- Superior writing and communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal issues in a clear, professional manner.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in legal billing software and electronic invoice review platforms a plus.
- Ability to work independently and participate in collaborative team environments.
