Pay Rate: $42-45/hr (based on experience)
Location: Hybrid – Durham, NC
Work Schedule: 8am-5pm MST (flexible as needed)

 


About the Opportunity:
Kelly Services’ Talent Acquisition organization has an exciting opening for a Recruiter to support our Operations function due to an increased workload. This role focuses on attracting and hiring top talent for roles in manufacturing, engineering, life sciences, and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle recruitment for Operations roles (manufacturing, life science, engineering, Quality Control/Quality Assurance)

  • Pre-screen candidates, manage requisitions, update and manage SmartRecruiters ATS

  • Develop sourcing strategies and build qualified talent pools

  • Achieve recruiting metrics and report key accomplishments

  • Compile industry overviews, market trends, and analytics for the team and business leaders

  • Prepare and approve offer packages; provide equity & market competitiveness data research

  • Ensure compliance with state/federal employment laws and company policies

  • Establish strong partnerships with hiring managers/leadership

Top Skills Needed:

  1. Must have experience in life science or pharmaceutical industry. (required)

  2. Experience with operations recruiting, preferably in FDA-related organizations

  3. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with candidates and hiring managers

  4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple roles and processes

  5. Technical proficiency with recruiting software (ATS such as SmartRecruiters or iCIMS), sourcing tools, and social media platforms

  6. Local market expertise—deep understanding of the Durham, NC area talent pool and ability to educate the business and attract top talent

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 2–3+ years recruiting experience in competitive, fast-paced environments required; 5+ years preferred

  • Experience in life science or pharmaceutical industry required

  • Proactive recruiting and sourcing experience required

  • Experience managing requisitions within Applicant Tracking Systems (SmartRecruiters/iCIMS preferred)

  • Strong business presence and confidence with clients and stakeholders
