Position Overview
We are world-class experts in plant breeding and biotechnology seeking a motivated Research Laboratory Technician to join the Agriscience Biotechnology team. This position directly supports a cutting-edge research team dedicated to developing and evaluating novel plant breeding methods.
Working under the guidance of a supervisor, the successful candidate will support plant tissue culture research activities and coordinate closely with various team members to achieve project milestones.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating, executing, and scoring results to meet research team needs. This includes processing samples under sterile lab conditions, as well as measuring, imaging, and analyzing experimental data.

  • Execute plant tissue culture workflows, including aspects of plant transformation and plant propagation. Conduct analytical assays on plant tissue samples as required.

  • Document precise experimental details, analyze data, interpret results, and record pertinent information accurately into proprietary and standard software applications.

  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment by strictly utilizing aseptic and sterile techniques. Coordinate sampling and sample preparation efforts across the team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences (or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience). Industry-related experience is preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Plant transformation experience in either a classroom or industry setting is highly desirable. Comfort with utilizing proprietary and standard software for data entry.

  • Core Competencies: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent written/verbal communication, and sharp organizational abilities.

  • Work Style: High attention to detail with the ability to stay focused while performing repetitive tasks. Must be a self-motivated, goal-oriented team player who can also work seamlessly independently.
