Job Title: Packer
Location:  Las Vegas NV 89165
Work Schedule: Mon – Fri, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Pay Rate: USD 22.00 per hour
Contract Type: TTH

Qualifications:

• 1 year Manufacturing Operator experience in a manufacturing environment as an operator and/or lead role (required)
  

• Plant Manufacturing/Industrial Experience (required)
  

• Knowledge of plant manufacturing in an industrial setting
  

• Maintenance experience in a 24 hr continuous process environment (preferred)
  

• Strong customer service focus, teaming, and collaborative approach (preferred)
  

• Flexible and open-minded with good written and oral communication skills (preferred)
  

• Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and web tools (preferred)
  

• Forklift Certification (preferred)
  

• Heavy Equipment experience (preferred)
  

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Core Responsibilities:

• Follow all company and OSHA safety policies, procedures, and programs
  

• Adhere to all Food Safety Programs and Regulations to meet requirements for Food Grade Certifications while producing safe, high-quality products
  

• Maintain a clean work area
  

• Operate equipment, palletizers, packers, and/or drive a forklift to assist production operations
  

• Inspect Packaging Materials prior to changeovers for correct inventories and return materials after production runs as needed
  

• Comply with operational processes for production reports, food safety program, and all other designated production operations
  

• Hand-stack 50/40 lbs. bags for rework or production as needed
  

• Assist in the loading of finished products throughout shift
  

• Assist in maintaining all common areas (janitorial duties)
  

• Flexible in taking lunch and breaks as workflow requires

Working Conditions:

• Mining and warehouse environment, with limited HVAC
  

• Exposure to dust, chemicals, temperature changes, and noise
  

• May work outdoors as needed
  

• Very dusty, hot & dry environment; swamp coolers available in some areas
