Shift: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am (2-2-3 schedule; 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on)
Pay Rate: $35.10 per hour
Job Summary
Kelly Services is seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to join our team in Sedalia, Missouri. In this key leadership role, you will champion a safety-first culture and lead all aspects of manufacturing operations to ensure quality standards and production targets are met. We are looking for a hands-on leader with experience in industrial manufacturing, strong team development skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety Leadership:
- Champion company safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure completion of all required safety training for employees.
- Lead monthly safety meetings, near-miss reporting, pre-shift safety inspections, and incident investigations.

- Customer and Quality Commitment:
- Ensure all products meet customer expectations and quality standards.
- Oversee accurate, timely production to scheduled commitments.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and lead resolution efforts.
- Train and coach operators in problem-solving skills.

- Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide regular performance feedback and document corrective actions when necessary.
- Train and develop team members for sustained success.
- Foster strong team relationships, communication, and engagement.
- Monitor time and attendance to meet production needs.

- Managing Operations:
- Communicate plant performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet production capacity specifications.
- Partner with maintenance staff to maximize equipment efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and facility policies.

- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead cost-saving and waste reduction initiatives.
- Participate in 6S events and continuous improvement activities.
- Support product qualification efforts with cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications
- Completed High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role
- At least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed bachelor’s degree in business or engineering
- Leadership experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Experience in electrical, mechanical, electronic controls and process troubleshooting
- Six Sigma Green Belt or experience in continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong mechanical aptitude
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in MRP systems (SAP), Microsoft Office, and Kronos
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across organizational levels
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Leadership in safety and change management
- Analytical mindset for problem solving and root cause analysis
