Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $22–$23/hr
Shift: M-F 6am-2:30pm

What’s a typical day as Extrusion Press Operator? You’ll be:
- Operating furnaces, casting equipment, presses, and powder processing machinery based on production orders and specifications.
- Charging furnaces with raw materials, alloys, and scrap; blending and preparing metal powders to meet requirements.
- Monitoring and adjusting process parameters (temperature, pressure, compaction, chemical composition) for consistent product quality.
- Pouring molten metal into molds and operating presses to compact powdered metals.
- Inspecting products for dimensional accuracy, density, surface quality, and conformance using precision measuring tools.
- Using hand tools, power tools, and saws to cut metal as needed.
- Performing routine inspections, crucible changeovers, cleaning, and basic maintenance on furnaces and related equipment.
- Assembling billets, including welding, and recording production data in work orders and ERP systems.
- Operating cranes, hoists, or forklifts to safely move materials and finished products.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area, following all safety and environmental regulations.
- Supporting fine scheduling, preventive maintenance, and ISO 9001/14001 management system processes.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Possess prior experience in foundry operations, powdered metal processing, or industrial manufacturing (preferred).
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate, adjust, and maintain industrial equipment.
- Can read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Are proficient with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Show strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
- Can work in hot, noisy, and physically demanding environments, stand/bend/perform repetitive tasks for extended periods, and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Are able to wear and maintain required PPE, including respirators, heat-resistant clothing, and eye/face protection.
