Join our dynamic team as a Production Operator and play a vital role in ensuring smooth, efficient operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment! Based in a production setting and reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you’ll contribute to product quality, operational efficiency, and workplace safety. Ideal for candidates with a high school diploma and a passion for hands-on work, this position offers rewarding challenges and opportunities for growth.

Job Specifications:

  • Location: Junction City, KS

  • Shift and Pay: 2nd shift (Mon – Thurs 2:30PM – 1AM) – $17/hr

  • Contract: 3 month temp to hire

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Follow procedures, checklists, and strict safety protocols.

  • Build boxes, clean and maintain printers, manage tools and supplies.

  • Operate and inspect products according to SOPs.

  • Thread and splice new materials, package and handle material as required.

  • Set up, adjust, and monitor equipment such as coaters, winding, and finishing to maintain product quality.

  • Monitor production requirements and schedules for efficient operation.

  • Record production and raw material usage manually and electronically.

  • Clean machinery, equipment, and workspace regularly.

  • Identify and label hazardous waste materials for proper disposal.

  • Recommend improvements to increase quality of products and services.

  • Participate on teams focused on quality, safety, waste reduction, and lean principles.

  • Engage in self-development activities and assist in training others.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic proficiency.

  • Manual dexterity for operating equipment and computers.

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience a plus.

  • Comfortable following SOPs, labels, and instructions.

  • Ability to use computers and internal software systems for inputting data.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Safety-oriented mindset.
