Kelly is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Technician for an exciting opportunity in the Deer Park, Texas area! The Environmental Technician will support environmental programs related to waste management, regulatory compliance, inspections, and environmental data collection within a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform waste characterization and waste disposal determinations.

  • Conduct waste storage area inspections.

  • Support SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure) inspections and compliance activities.

  • Assist with environmental self-assessments and regulatory compliance reviews.

  • Collect and maintain documentation/data required for air permits and environmental reporting.

  • Identify compliance issues during inspections and coordinate corrective actions with operations teams.

  • Communicate with third-party vendors, including laboratories and waste disposal providers.

  • Maintain accurate environmental records and documentation.

Required Experience

  • 2–5 years of environmental compliance experience.

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Waste characterization

    • Waste inspections

    • Waste management and disposal processes


  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance programs.

  • Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, refinery, chemical plant, or similar environments is highly preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with operations personnel to resolve environmental compliance issues.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage documentation accurately.

  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently after training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to or experience with:

    • Air permitting programs

    • Water compliance programs

    • SPCC inspections and compliance requirements


  • Experience supporting environmental audits, inspections, or regulatory assessments.

  • Chemical plant or heavy industrial environment experience is a plus but not required.
