Long Term Contract Position
Essential Responsibilities:
- Commission Water Treatment Plants, ensuring process equipment and control systems perform per specifications.
- Act as construction liaison between design engineering and construction during erection of Water Treatment Plants.
- Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites.
- Manage activities of outside vendors and suppliers, ensuring services and supplies meet project specifications and performance requirements.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures and log sheets to document and monitor equipment operation.
- Develop and execute Commissioning Schedules and Performance Plans.
- Deliver classroom and hands-on training on operation and maintenance of process equipment.
- Participate in Model Reviews, Engineering Design Meetings, and Safety in Design reviews to ensure accessibility, maintenance, and operation of process equipment.
- Conduct control system factory acceptance tests with clients and client-designated representatives.
- Perform after-market services such as site inspection, equipment inspection, and operator training.
- Maintain a strong safety mindset to ensure work reflects technical requirements within VEOLIA safety standards.
- Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and future reference.
- Apply mathematical operations to water treatment chemistry calculations, test reliability/validity determinations, budget analysis, and monitoring Time Material (TM) contract costs.
- Diagnose alignment issues and plumb adjustment figures; utilize plane geometry and chemistry formulas.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to improve operations and determine if design works or will not work.
- Perform specific PLC/HMI activities including but not limited to: Control System IO Checkout, System networking, Program upload/download, ladder logic comprehension, function block troubleshooting, and writing simple logic.
