Location: Statesville, NC
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour

Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality custom framing products, architectural mouldings, and decorative wood components used by customers across the retail, commercial, and residential markets. We are seeking a Production Team Lead to oversee first-shift production operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a strong manufacturing background who enjoys leading by example, improving processes, and helping teams succeed.

Position Summary

As the Production Team Lead, you will supervise a team of more than 40 production associates, ensuring daily production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, supporting employee development, and driving continuous improvement throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of 40+ production associates during first shift.

  • Coordinate daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.

  • Monitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.

  • Ensure products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.

  • Train, coach, and support team members while promoting a positive and productive work environment.

  • Assign daily work responsibilities and monitor employee performance.

  • Communicate production priorities, updates, and operational issues with management.

  • Enforce all company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.

  • Troubleshoot production challenges and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.

  • Operate hand tools and assist with assembly and production tasks as needed.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience required.

  • Previous leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams of 20 or more employees.

  • Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing or assembly environment.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Commitment to workplace safety, product quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to work alongside the production team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.

  • Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.

  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and production equipment.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
