Position Summary:
Kelly is seeking a detail-oriented Printer Helper to support press operations for our valued client. In this role, you will assist with preparing materials, mounting printing plates, mixing inks, cleaning components, and supporting both the Press Operator and Shift Lead throughout all production phases. Your work will help ensure efficient press setup, consistent print quality, and a seamless production workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Shift Lead and Press Operator during press setup and daily operations

  • Stage materials, rolls, and ink as required

  • Inspect, clean, and handle plates, sleeves, mandrels, and anilox rolls

  • Mount plates according to work orders and print requirements

  • Maintain organized plate storage and perform routine maintenance

  • Mix and dispense ink based on customer specifications

  • Replace ink containers and complete required documentation

  • Operate and clean the Flexo-Wash unit using approved chemicals

  • Review print samples for quality and report any issues

  • Unload, wrap, band, label, and store finished rolls; cut cores as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills

  • Basic math and mechanical skills; ability to complete print/math testing

  • Ability to work in hot environments and handle inks/lubricants

  • Physical capability for standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 75 lbs (and up to 550 lbs with mechanical assistance)

  • Meets vision requirements for close, spatial, color, and depth perception

  • Able to load/unload sleeves and handle inventory

  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

  • Basic computer proficiency; able to read and understand English

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and overtime as needed
