- Location: Gloucester MA
- Day Shift: Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm
- Pay Rate: $28.50
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate pricing and other terms of purchase under supervision.
- Quote materials; procures materials, components, equipment and services at the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. Expedites and ensures the timely receipt of materials.
- Works with engineering and MPM or SCM to recommend new suppliers.
- Analyze proposals, negotiate prices and delivery, issues and/or adjusts purchase orders in a timely manner.
- Follows-up on orders, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.
- Negotiates vendor contracts, as appropriate.
- Leads purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’ s Degree in business administration preferred.
- Supply chain management, procurement, or a related field
Technical Skills:
- Data analysis, inventory management, procurement processes, and supply chain technologies
Computer Skills:
- Procurement Software SAP/SCV/ARIBA
