Job details
Job Title: Logistics Administration Assistant
Location: Groveport, OH
Duration: Approx. 3 months (could go longer)
Pay: $21.00/hr
Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm (Monday-Friday)
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in arranging and coordinating both domestic and international shipments, including small parcel, LTL, and full truckload import and export shipments. Experience with occasional ocean and air freight is also preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive shipping documentation, including bills of lading, export documents, and other required carrier packets, utilizing internet resources, shipping software, warehouse management systems, and other related applications and platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Will be required, on occasion, to enter the warehouse to inspect and photograph truck loading operations, verify pallet quantities, and weigh packages to ensure accurate shipment verification.
- Regular communication with carriers, freight forwarders/brokers, and contract manufacturers/vendors throughout the United States via phone and email, as well as collaboration with internal forklift operators and Operations Management personnel.
- Must possess clear, articulate, and professional verbal and written communication skills.
