Kelly Services is seeking an experienced professional for a HR Operations Leaves Specialist position supporting our valued client, Stryker. In this hybrid role, you will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to administering leave of absence programs across the organization.
This is a Hybrid position. will report 1-2 days/week in office Kalamazoo, Michigan
$28.00 per hour 1st shift
Position Highlights
As an HR Operations Leaves Specialist, you will:
- Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees regarding HR policies and parental leave requests.
- Administer parental leave of absence programs nationally, providing support and clear communication to employees and stakeholders.
- Proactively consult on eligibility, plan provisions, and processes related to leaves; resolve both routine and complex issues with compassion and care.
- Accurately document every inquiry or issue in the case management system, maintaining thorough and up-to-date records.
- Prepare, process, and review leave paperwork in compliance with Stryker policies and governing regulations.
- Ensure employees receive accurate payments during their leave.
- Clearly communicate updates on leave status and escalate issues or policy interpretations as needed.
- Work closely with HR partners and COEs to promote consistency and compliance.
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment striving for exceptional customer service.
What You Need to Succeed
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience administering Leaves of Absence programs
Preferred:
- 2+ years of customer-facing or HR services experience in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- Prior HR Operations, HR COE, or related business-facing HR experience
- Working knowledge of leave and benefits laws such as FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA
