Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Nampa, ID
Required PPE: Steel-Toed Shoes
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations in an agricultural environment. This role is responsible for receiving, moving, storing, and shipping materials while maintaining a safe, organized, and clean workspace.
The warehouse receives soil, seed, and other agricultural products from growers. As a result, the work environment can be dusty, and the facility is not temperature controlled. Respirator use is voluntary and available as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, and transport materials using a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and product accuracy.
- Count, weigh, and record materials or containers on required forms and documentation.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Load trucks and distribute materials to warehouse or production areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory movement and warehouse organization.
- Keep the warehouse clean and safe, including:
- Sweeping floors
- Cleaning spills
- Removing broken bags and product debris
- Maintaining orderly storage areas
- Sweeping floors
- Follow all company safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
- Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse, forklift, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
- Strong attendance and punctuality record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in a dusty agricultural warehouse environment.
- Ability to work in warehouse conditions that are not temperature controlled.
- Must wear steel-toed shoes at all times.
Knowledge & Safety Requirements
- General knowledge of workplace safety and environmental procedures.
- Ability to comply with all company safety policies and guidelines.
- Forklift experience preferred; certification may be required based on assignment.
